"Going to this tournament I did not know what to expect. beach tournaments in the states are for drinking, parting, and doing cool shit in the sand. In good fashion Brought the two American friends, co-ops and kyle, and stayed out the first night till 4 in the morning and then woke up at 8 thinking we had to play at 9. To coop and my disliking we should up at the fields hung over and no one was there. We proceeded to get two bottles of gin and a bunch of tonic and Gatorade. Gatorade and gin is great for beach ultimate because it gets you crunked and hydrates you. As for the ultimate it seemed as if we were a little out matched all tourney. However i did think we could step up our play at any moment and win but with stupid mistakes, wind problems, and drunk Americans it was hard to succeed. Our outcome on the field was not that good but we did make up for it by winning the party and the town. This included, coop passing out every night at the bar or restaurant, us doing karaoke while yelling out the window at Henry and crew, and a great last night with dancing and Almost skinny dipping in the pool. Many other great things Happened, Alexander hit a women in the next with a surf board and we Wore The Same Hawaiian shirts THE ENTIRE trip day and night. There Were many memories and will not be forgot. I plan on going to the tourney again in the near future. "

Wow, finally success: we have only lost a match!
There is little to add, we really sparkled: Although there were no super champion in the field and despite the distortion of competition kaiser half, we created good game and good synergies, very few distractions, good spirit and lots of fun, thanks to the good and frasba Beppe, the deus ex machina of this company!
At the end of the tournament we finished first in the silver pool, entertainment!
Thanks to the excellent organization of Bologna (apart from the schedule by suicide) and the most devastating race beer I've ever seen ...

Ed ecco qualche riga scritta da Adam, il nostro ospite americano:
"This was my first tournament not in the USA and I was a little nervous but very excited. The team we were playing with seemed fun, fammi une tre dita, and we were road tripping in typical form. It was interesting not staying in a hotel and having food and beer provided at the fields for a small cost. This was excellent and made for a much more friendly environment. As for the actual competition it was great. Our team had talent but lacked consistency. We ran hard and therefore were able to beat many teams. The only game we lost was game five of Saturday and you could see that our team was exhausted. The other team was playing its 4th game. Winning on Sunday is always important and our team did just that. We had a nail bitter for a final and pulled out a narrow victory for champion of our pool. I had a great time and came away just as sore, tired, broken, and beat up as in the states. It was an experience I will always remember."

Burla Beach Cup 08

In Viareggio was held the seventh edition of the Burla Beach Cup, international tournament attended by more than 80 teams from across Europe.
three divisions: open a very competitive, an open / mixed competitive and open / mixed / women. This year the
beefree did not participate but one of us is aggregated to the team of Como Frasbadallac and thus found himself catapulted into the 2nd division, wonderful experience, both having played in a very tight-knit team (few risky throws and very calm field) and the level shown by the opponents, even with Frasba we realize that in bad weather (wind and rain), the performance drop off significantly, it will be because we train only when the weather is favorable?
For the record, the Frasba are ranked in 15th place out of 32 teams, an excellent result, particularly given that on 9 games they have won only two, you know ..... just win the right ones!

Decimo anniversario per questo torneo in terra di Francia, c'erano all the conditions for a weekend of sport and fun, too bad that the only case in history of the last, the competition has been suspended for Saturday afternoon deluge, a pity, because the organizers had prepared everything in style!
