This Sunday we held the first edition of the Ultimate Tournament of the northwest. Teams participating in the hosts and organizers of Milan, with two teams, the cows of Bergamo, the Frasba from Lac the Windy Aosta and we certainly could not miss that!
The event was hosted at the site of 'the great AIF Valentino De Chiara, a pioneer of frisbee in Italy.

Certo gli errori non sono mancati, d’altronde lanciare dischi pieni di terra e prenderne altri che nelle loro rotazioni lanciano schizzi fangosi in ogni direzione (soprattutto quella degli occhi) non è una cosa su cui ci alleniamo tutti i giorni….

Tra una partita e l’altra intanto i giocatori ascoltano affascinati i racconti di Valentino su Boomerang e Frisbee, altri oggetti volanti da lui inventati, come il Condor e la Meteora, e favolose partite tra Italia e Inghilterra negli anni 70.

Partita decisiva per la classifica è stata quella con Milano K, entrambi arrivavamo alla partita senza sconfitte. La partita va a ondate, loro ci fanno subito un break e vanno via di due o tre punti, poi li riprendiamo, poi dopo tre o quattro punti in equilibrio altra ondata e ci scappano di nuovo. 8 a 4 alla fine del tempo, cap 1. Segnamo quattro punti di fila, ma poi loro all’ultimo match point riescono a chiudere la partita. Comunque grandi BeeFree per averci creduto sino in fondo.
Poi partita conclusiva con Milano Q, affrontata con le pile un po’ scariche essendo la terza partita di fila su un campo sempre più pesante e venendo dopo quella piu intensa della giornata. Riusciamo comunque a vincere di un paio di punti.

Alla premiazione Luna won a Frisbee historic for being the girl who finished the tournament most of all muddied with a large dip in the last match, while among the men of Beppe Frasba as always outperforms the competition in this kind of prize for having performed a dip in the mud so as mom did ...

And speaking of awards .... win again the Spirit of the Game !! After that a month ago in Viareggio prize comes another that makes us really, really pleased!

like crowns a month in Venezuela in a better way than with a round of Ultimate? Thanks to Cesar and R2 I am in Merida in the Tournament Feria del Sol!

Cesar BeeFree had already played with us for 2 or 3 months, and was also Chou 2007 of Forli. And I think none of those who knew him if he is able to forget ... With the rest of the team we allenati per una decina di giorni insieme e subito si è creato un gran feeling, in campo e soprattutto fuori...

Arrivati al torneo la prima cosa che mi dicono è: "Esto es ultimate estilo caribe pana!" eh si ultimate caribeño, tutto muscoli e atletismo, ma poca tattica e soprattutto poco spirito....ma non ci sono giocatori che non siano pronti a spiccare il volo per un intercetto o una meta volante.


Comunque la squadra è carica e con un gran potenziale, ma le altre non sono da meno, e cosi dopo esserci classificati terzi su cinque nel girone arriviamo a un punto dalla semifinale...


La finale è davvero spettacolare! Hammer rovesciati di 30 m, intercetti volanti, giocatori che ascend to heaven to take disks impossible ... Warao win, by all accounts is currently the best team in Venezuela.
